Model 3/Y: Aluminium Roof Rack Cross Bars (2PCs)

For a Model Y. The design and functionality are great, but installation is a bit tricky. All four J hooks are the same length, although the front rubber pads are thicker. This results in the J hooks for the front crossbar having only a few threads sticking out to screw the nut onto. You'll have to push very hard on the bar and pad for the hook's threads to stick out enough so you're able to start screwing the nut; otherwise, you will strip it. The nut is made of a kind of soft metal that is easy to strip. That's what happened to me. The J hooks should be half an inch longer to facilitate installation and sturdiness because I doubt that screwing from only a few threads will be sturdy enough. We'll see with time, I guess. However, I reached customer service, and they sent me a replacement attachment kit (J hooks and nuts) in just a few days. Good service! Overall, once installed, I'm happy with the purchase.

Fits nicely but very noisy above 100km. I had to remove them as it was not tolerable. Contacted customer service but did not get much help….

They arrived qi kly, were nicely packed, easy to install and look great. When driving speeds of 110km/h and above they do make some noise which my previously used original Tela racks on a model 3 never did. Overall: great racks!!

I ordered the Model Y variant of this roof rack and it completely met my expectations. I was nervous installing it, but didn’t run into any issues. The package arrived to my house (in BC) after 11 days, which was a little longer than anticipated and longer than predicted by the courier, but not too bad. Some wind noise from about 80km/h and above, but not terrible and to be expected.

Good rack, stable and solid. A little noisy.
